Install on macOS & Windows

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag TradeFlowFX into your Applications folder
  3. Open TradeFlowFX from Applications or via Spotlight (Cmd + Space)

Gatekeeper warning? macOS may block the app since it's distributed independently. To fix:

  1. Open System SettingsPrivacy & Security
  2. Scroll to the Security section — click Open Anyway
  3. Confirm by clicking Open in the dialog

You only need to do this once. Subsequent launches work normally.

  1. Run the downloaded .exe installer
  2. Follow the setup wizard (choose install location, start menu shortcuts)
  3. Launch TradeFlowFX from your Start menu or desktop shortcut

SmartScreen warning? This is normal for new software that doesn't yet have a Microsoft reputation:

  1. On the SmartScreen popup, click More info
  2. Click Run anyway

The app is safe to run. SmartScreen warnings decrease as more users install.

First launch

When you open TradeFlowFX for the first time:

  1. The app creates a local database to store your trades — everything stays on your machine
  2. Sample data is pre-loaded so you can explore the dashboard, calendar, and analytics immediately
  3. A guided tour walks you through the key features in about 90 seconds
Tip

You can clear the sample data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Reset All Data when you're ready to start fresh with your own trades.

Troubleshooting

App won't open on macOS

If double-clicking does nothing, try right-clicking (or Control-clicking) the app and selecting Open. This gives you the option to bypass Gatekeeper directly.

Installer blocked on Windows

If your antivirus quarantines the installer, add an exception for the TradeFlowFX installer file. The app doesn't modify system files or access the network without your action.
